Cool business ideas for startups and business development

From Résumé to Role Reinvention: Prototyping the Ideas Broker GPT for Career Acceleration

Preamble

I wrote a Substack post called The Rise of the Ideas Broker: Crafting a Career at the Intersection of Insight, Innovation, and Influence and I decided to create a prototype Custom GPT Ideas Broker Career Catalyst and tested it with a fictitious CV (Appendices)

🚀 Introduction: Can a Custom GPT Accelerate Career Design?

In a world where professional identities are fluid and hybrid roles are the norm, AI can help us prototype not just products—but ourselves. That was the goal behind a small but high-impact subtask: to create a Custom GPT for career transformation rooted in the emerging “Ideas Broker” identity and powered by a detailed, multidimensional CV.

The experiment used the new Ideas Broker: Career Catalyst GPT alongside Daniel Okoye’s richly layered career profile to answer a big question:

Could we use AI to reframe a technical, founder-level CV into a springboard for cross-domain innovation roles—and spark new paths for monetization, positioning, and storytelling?

The results were surprising—and surprisingly human.

🎯 The Subtask

The assignment was twofold:

  • Create a Custom GPT trained to think like an Ideas Broker—a polymath strategist who synthesizes insights across tech, design, business, and culture.
  • Feed it a full-stack career profile (Daniel Okoye’s CV) to test how well it could:
    • Generate positioning statements
    • Recommend next-step roles and titles
    • Identify industry fit and monetization strategies
    • Connect past projects to emerging opportunity landscapes

The Ideas Broker GPT was loaded with a foundational knowledge base drawn from the full Ideas Broker Career Profile & Framework, including competencies in futures thinking, cross-industry translation, innovation modeling, and creative entrepreneurship.

🧪 The Prototype in Action (summary see appendices for full result )

(Tricks: create a prompt and use another AI to refine your prompt)

When given Daniel Okoye’s career history—spanning AI entrepreneurship, health tech, and systems design—the GPT was able to :

  • Redefine his career arc from “Software Engineer → CTO → Consultant” to “AI-Foresight Strategist,” “Digital Transformation Broker,” and “Applied Systems Synthesist.”
  • Recommend new titles based on skill adjacencies and cross-domain synthesis, such as:
    • Strategic Innovation Architect (for enterprise advisory)
    • HealthTech Futures Consultant (for public-private collaborations)
    • AI-Enhanced Learning Designer (for education or workforce development)
  • Identify monetizable offerings including:
    • Methodology licensing for health innovation frameworks
    • Retainer services for AI adoption strategy
    • Speaking and writing as a thought leader in AI + futures + design

It also generated a capability narrative grounded in Daniel’s unique background—e.g., blending voice tech with healthcare, or advising AI adoption while applying human-centered foresight.

Important, when you create a custom GPT or APP, ask a few question about its purported capabilities before you use, it as you will ask a consultant : Who are you, What are your Capabilities , What’s your body of knowledge or reference framework, What are your limitations, Provide examples of your conversation starters or prompts. (see appendices for some answers.)

🧭 Outcome Highlights

One surprising insight: Daniel’s career wasn’t just suited for tech strategy—it mapped beautifully to global innovation translation, especially in healthcare and education, where human-centered AI is still a nascent discipline.

💡 Reflections: Why This Matters

This was more than a résumé rewrite. It was a test of how we might use Custom GPTs to:

  • Reverse-engineer a career into emergent archetypes, not just job roles
  • Frame personal history as intellectual property, not just chronology
  • Translate capability into new economies of value

And it worked because the GPT wasn’t generic—it was infused with the nuance, complexity, and cross-pollination logic that defines the Ideas Broker role.

🔄 Next Steps

This pilot opens up broader possibilities:

  • Custom Career GPTs for polymaths, creatives, and hybrid professionals
  • GPT-powered Personal Innovation Dashboards that recommend projects, partners, or monetization models
  • AI-assisted Career Design Studios for strategic reinvention in a post-linear world
  • If you have a career framework for example Business Analysis there is a demand for people who want to transition from software engineering \ development to Business Analysis. Another is to Business or Technology Consulting (Idea Trigger)

If you’re building a portfolio career, designing a future-facing consultancy, or trying to make sense of your nonlinear path, this approach could be your career catalyst.

🎙️ Want to Try This?

If you’d like to test your own Ideas Broker GPT its worth trying. We’re building something new here—where ideas are currency, careers are prototypes, and GPTs are your co-pilot in reinvention. Until then, stay curious.
